Björn started playing drums at the early age of three, and he has been a full time professional musician since graduating high school in 1990.

One year later he became one of the founding members of the folk rock band HOVEN DROVEN, with who he toures the world up until this very day. The band has released 7 albums licensed by record companies all over the world, and in 2006 the band recieved a swedish Grammy nomination for their live album ”Jumping at The Cedar”. The album was recorded in Minneapolis and was produced by Björn.

In 1993 he toured Scandinavia with swedish funk rocker PAULO MENDONCA in support of his album ”Different Phases” (Universal/Polygram)

In total, Björn has played on hundreds of releases since the early 90:s. He also produces records on a regular basis and has 5 gold and 2 platinum awards as a songwriter.

In 2006 he joined swedish glam band EASY ACTION , with original members Kee Marcello and Zinny Zan, for their comeback show at The Sweden Rock Festival. The band stayed active for several years, touring and recording. The single and video ”Drop The Bomb” was released in May 2016

 

In 2015 Björn relased an album with his own band THE SUMMIT, with among others Mats Karlsson (220 Volt) and Michael Klemmé (Marmalade Souls).

In 2015 joined MARTINA EDOFF and embarked on a US/Canadian tour supporting Euivette and The Agonist. They also supported The Winery Dogs (Mike Portnoy/Billy Sheehan/Richie Kotzen) in Europe 2016.

In 2019 Björn re-unites with the 1986-line up of EASY ACTION , including singer Tommy Nilsson, for a show at the Sweden Rock Festival and new recordings. At the same time records drums for DREAMS IN THE WITCH HOUSE, the on-going rock opera based on the works of H.P LOVECRAFT, including members from KISS, MOTORHEAD and W.A.S.P. He also records an album with Swedish punk legends KSMB.

In 2020 Björn began to record drums for four new albums from THERION to be released between 2020 and 2023.

In 2021 Hoven Droven celebrated 30 years together with a new album released on the Norwegian label Heilo.

In between his own projects Björn is a sought after freelance musician, and he tours with his cover band MARMELADORKESTERN that does well over 100 shows per year around Sweden.
